Fashion rulebreaker Nick Knight's Showstudio is an exciting, creative and somewhat confusing place. There is some tremendously interesting work on it, but you'll have to dig deep through inpenetrable twaddle and odd layout. Lucky for you I did that today, and unearthed these gems.

Judy Blame, Julie Verhoeven (her design pictured) and Peter Saville have all contributed designs that you can download in PDF format, print on t shirt transfers and sport with pride. Go here, make, do, wear.

And you don't have to put it on a t shirt. Tote bags, coats, hoodies, perhaps even a table cloth or curtains, all could benefit from a light jazz of free designery goodness.

Free Tunnock's Tea Cakes Games

Tunnock's tea cakes* (ironically named, as they are neither cakes, nor particularly good with tea) are the best mallow-based confectionary ever to be manufactured in Scotland. Their iconic red and silver striped packaging is a pop art gem, and the sweetmeat inside more than lives up to its exoskeleton's promise of sickly treasure.

The Tunnock's site is a joy to browse. Beautifully designed, with a rosy-cheeked kiddy straight out of a 1940s adventure annual, it gives you a warm nostalgic glow. And it's not often you get nostalgic in front of a harsh computer screen.

Don't miss the fabulously tongue in cheek games, one a Pacman-style affair, where you guide the aforementioned cheeksome child around a maze, gobbling teacakes as he goes, and the other a race to help the little fella catch falling teacakes in a winter wonderland.

I love love love free stuff. Especially cute free stuff. These sixties mod-style downloadable beauties (courtesy of those lovely people at modculture.co.uk will say a hip Happy Birthday, Get Well Soon, or whatever emotion you care to express. With more than a hint of Yellow Submarine styling they’re the grooviest greetings cards I’ve seen in an age. And not a ‘hilarious’ speech bubble or caption in sight (if I have to flip through another rack of “Aren’t men stupid?!” retro cards again I’m going to puke in the nearest Paperchase leather magazine rack).
